Easy to consume/use. I grew up professionally with Stahl. It's a good desk reference and also has visuals that I use with patients.
My Brain on Psychopharmacology (and Loving It). I bought Stahl’s Prescriber’s Guide thinking it would be a “helpful reference.” Little did I know it would become my bedside buddy, my coffee table companion, and occasionally my excuse for looking busy at work.Pros: Covers everything from A to Z in psych meds. Makes me sound like a neuropharmacology wizard.Cons: May cause spontaneous daydreams of combining SSRIs with antipsychotics just to see what happens (don’t try this at home).Bottom line: If you want your inner nerd to high-five your clinical side, Stahl’s is basically a love letter to psychopharmacology.
Perfect for the new grad. I love this book and because it is so thick, the spiral binding is really practical and the pages stay open easily. There is a lot of information, but it is great, especially for a new prescriber like myself.
